## Windows Installation Guide
Follow these steps to install Relab plugins on Windows.
### Before You Begin
- Ensure you have an iLok account and iLok License Manager installed
- Download the latest installer from your Relab account
- Close your DAW
### Step 1: Run the Installer
1. Locate the downloaded `.exe` file
2. Right-click and select "Run as Administrator"
3. If Windows Defender prompts, click "More info" > "Run anyway"
### Step 2: Choose Components
Select which plugin formats to install:
- **VST3** - For Cubase, Ableton Live, Studio One, FL Studio
- **AAX** - For Pro Tools
**Note:** VST2 is no longer supported. Please use VST3.
### Step 3: Choose Install Location
The default locations are recommended:
- **VST3:** `C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\`
- **AAX:** `C:\Program Files\Common Files\Avid\Audio\Plug-Ins\`
### Step 4: Complete Installation
1. Accept the license agreement
2. Click Install
3. Wait for installation to complete
### Step 5: Authorize
1. Open iLok License Manager
2. Sign in if not already
3. Find your Relab license
4. Activate to your preferred location
### Step 6: Scan in Your DAW
1. Open your DAW
2. Rescan plugins
3. The Relab plugin should now appear
### Windows Defender Issues
If Windows blocks the installer, it's a false positive. Our installers are code-signed and safe.
